Ssssssh…… Quiet!!!

Are you struggling to reach your goals? Sometimes, one of the many reasons to fail is constant talks and discussions on what you are going to do. Something as simple as shutting up and just grind can take you a long way to build your dreams. One of the most famous company’s tagline is Nike’s Just Do It, a very simple but yet deeply meaningful tagline. Most of us gets caught up into speaking about our dreams that we forget to wake up, work to make the dreams a reality. You may ask, what is wrong with talking about the dreams I believe in? Here’s why.

It inflates your ego.
When we speak about the things that we will do, the success that we are pursuing our ego always gets in the way. In most cases our ego convinces us of how good we are that the success is just a matter of when now. It gets even harder to look at the path to success objectively when we are in such a state; our minds will only focus on the grand prize of our efforts without regard on what it will take to get there.
Life’s journey is not only about the results (success), it’s even more about process (path). The fixation to the goal/ result will only keep us from navigating the path correctly. If we are not realist and prepared for a bumpy, difficult road any slight discomfort can turn out to be a big obstacle just because our egos simplified everything for us.

Talking about what you will do is comforting.
No matter where you are in life, talking about what you are going to accomplish is always such a comfort. We long to feel good and in most cases we are willing to do anything just to feel “high and mightier” even more than we should. There are so many stories of manifestation; talking things into existence but since no one hears from the people who failed we embrace the talk without questioning.
Next time you are in a bad place, preferably with a friend or someone close; take a minute to talk about all the things you are going to accomplish, the dreams you are chasing after and just reflect on how it feels. I believe there are so many people (me included) who usually gets drugged into their own grand ideas and beliefs that it is never easy to break from. Our brains are constantly looking for ways to ease the pain when life sucks hence we end up convincing ourselves of how great we will become someday. The truth is, we are avoiding one simple reality; our lives suck at that moment and we don’t need comfort let alone deserve it. Instead of looking for pain killer we call comfort at tough times, how about we swallow the pill of reality and agree to suffer through it all, learn from our suffering and finding ways to get out of terrible lives we are living in? Manifestation might work only if you are true to your current situation and make deliberate efforts to get the most out of life instead of just talking.

Doubters will help you see how and why you can’t make it.
If there is one thing that the entire human race is incredibly good at is the ability to help you see how absurd and unrealistic your ideas are. Talking, sharing your ideas with people might seem like a logical thing to do but 9 out of 10 your vision and dreams will not match anyone else’s and that’s where no matter how good your ideas are someone will take a piss at them.
Humans long for acceptance, we go to great lengths to make sure that the society accepts and appreciates us that’s why the support of people close to us always matters a lot. If you must share your dreams and vision, you need to have people you really know will be helpful; there can be no guarantees on who will support you but the need to have someone else believe in your ideas is important to help you even believe more in what your vision is.

Lastly, there’s beauty in silent moves. You not only get time to concentrate and calculate your moves perfectly but also you get to have clarity on both your target and the road that will take you there. Make your plans and go about them in total silence, see how far you can actually go. See you at the top.
