They say follow your heart
But how do I do that
How do I fucking do that if you keep running with it
It beats irregularly around you
So much so, I trust it no more
Jumps when your name is mentioned
It’s all so confusing and hard to follow
How do I follow my heart
When it sinks at a sight of your frown
And it gets so stupid seeing your smile
I’d like a little consistency
Follow something that can be relied upon
But this heart of mine?
Will forever betray me, taking your side
Feels like, this heart is for hire
I have been holding it temporarily
